Of all aspects of my art, paintings probably make up the bulk of my output. I have basically made my living from my art (paintings) since about 1980. That’s over thirty years! Hardly seems  . . . no I won’t go there. It’s always a push at the original art for me. Never mind the prints – get more paintings done! Although I am redressing that somewhat now. (see Prints page). On this page below is a gallery view of all kinds of original art I’ve produced. As I’m writing this, I’m in the process of sorting through my photo archives of original paintings  to be able to show you more. As you’ll eventually discover, my style of painting has varied over the years, but there seems to be both an underlying consistency of essential nature, as well as a development of strength and simplification. This is how I tend to see things – you’ll need to judge that for yourself though. I try to keep the colours true to the original art work, but you know what it’s like with computers – the digital backlit photos always look a bit brighter than the original paintings.
