Ways to Airbrush Your Car

One of the many ways to express something is to airbrush your car. Airbrushing is considered a fine art and putting on some graphics on your car would surely attract attention. However, removing car art is somewhat difficult, so you have to practice some airbrushing techniques first before deciding on putting some paint to your car. Here are some ways.

First of all, draw a design that you intend to make onto a piece of flexible vinyl and cut out the areas that will be painted with box cutters. Then tape the vinyl template in place on the car.

After that, choose which colour you are going to paint first. For best results, start with background colours and darker colours then paint the front colours. Make sure to cover anything that should not be painted. For large areas, use a masking tape to secure the sheets of paper.

Next, airbrush the first layer of paint on to your car. Use one finger to regulate the flow of air and paint with a lever that is mounted on top of the airbrush. The closer you hold the airbrush to the car, the smaller a surface will be covered and the colour effect is denser.

After airbrushing, take out the extra covering tape once you have finished working with the first colour. Choose the second colour and cover any positions of the art that should not be painted. Let dry the first layer of paint before applying on a second coat.

Continue painting with one colour at a time until your design is complete. Lastly, allow the paint to dry itself before removing the main vinyl template so that it would not smear.
