What are fine art reproductions? Find out here.
With the advent of high resolution, pigment ink based wide format printers, museum quality art reproductions are now possible. Low volume runs and even one off prints are now financially possible. You no longer have to do large lithographic print runs to get the quality that you want. Printed digitally using 100% acid free stocks and pigment inks, fine art “Giclee” or pigment print reproductions now have over 100 year lifespan and in many cases last longer than other traditional methods under the appropriate storage conditions.
As with any new technology creating a reproduction of a piece of art is a science as well as an art in itself. Taking the appropriate steps to maintain quality is a key part of this process. From image capture to final print there are many steps and our experienced staff at Digital Direct Printing Ltd. can help you get the best from this technology. The goal is to produce not just a faithful reproduction of your artwork, but to capture the essence of the original.
