A little about me: I’m a visual artist, musician, poet and life coach living in the SW tip of Cornwall, UK. Although I take part in several forms of art, paintings are still, after thirty years, my main thing. I built this Portals to the Heart website to connect with as many people as possible who are interested in my special brand of visual art/paintings - as well as open-hearted living. In a way, the art of living in this kind of way is somewhat like creating visual art - as it involves becoming open and vulnerable – but in this instance, instead of art it’s to life – and all it has to offer.
Visual art has been high on my agenda since childhood, and I began to explore it avidly in my early twenties. I’ve now been expressing myself in visual art for over three decades. It’s more of a drive than anything – just can’t seem to help myself! But I also love writing and playing music. So this is the site where I decided to bring it all together – visual art, music, writing, video, photography, coaching – everything I do under the one roof. (I also have a more official art website written about me: Steve Slimm – Artist.)
I don’t know who you are – but would like to get to know you better too. If you’d like to leave personal comments on site - please feel free.
Browse around the site – and don’t forget to sign up to my mailing list, which from 2012 I run as a monthly newsletter. From time to time will also give you some exclusive offers on my visual art – original paintings and giclee prints – at some great discounted prices.
Have a Blessed Day,
Steve
